Carol Spiewak: in memory
September 21, 1951 - December 15, 2024
Carol Rhea Wasserman Spiewak, beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in New Hope, Pennsylvania, on December 15th, 2024. Born on September 21, 1951 in Manhattan, New York, Carol's 73 years were marked by her warmth, generosity, courage, intelligence, determination, and inspiring leadership. She was loved by all who knew her.
Carol's life was a rich tapestry of roles and accomplishments. She was the Vice President of Software Development for the New York Stock Exchange. She led the team charged with getting the Exchange back up and running after the attack on September 11, 2001. In her retirement she focused on her lifelong passion for humanitarian and political causes. Carol was an important leader of the Solebury Democrats and Bucks County Democratic Party and was the Chief of the Staff for Tim Brennan, PA State Representative. She was also a talented banjo player who was part of many bands over the course of her life.
We are so grateful for Carol’s determined and gracious leadership and work hard to continue the efforts that she established here in Solebury!
